Current Initiatives

Al Wathba Conservation Program

Arabian Crude Company, LLC supports the Coral Conservation in the UAE Program. This is run in partnership with The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD). The initiative focuses on raising awareness and understanding of the value of corals and the conservation efforts that are in place to protect corals in the UAE, through producing a documentary on Coral Research and Conservation, in addition to producing a coffee table book on coral species. The program will run for two years.

Scientific Innovation and Environmental DNA (eDNA)

Arabian Crude Company, LLC has partnered with a leading environmental non-profit organization to support the Scientific Innovation with Environmental DNA (eDNA) program, which analyzes Abu Dhabi’s coastal waters to identify key species present. The study will contribute to the conservation of marine life such as turtles, sharks and coral reefs, in addition to supporting the organization in implementing UAE Government biodiversity and sustainability policy commitments and strategic goals.
